What is your advice regarding the resignation of Commander Abu 'Abd al-'Aziz from the emirate in Bosnia?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : I have three matters in my mind right now regarding your question that I want to clarify for you, so that I do not forget the first one. The first is regarding the emirate: will you relinquish it or not? The second is: will you prevent the suitor from marrying the woman he has proposed to? The third is: is it permissible for him to marry with the intention of divorcing her when his time of residence in the country ends?

The questioner : Yes.

The Shaykh : I listed these matters for fear that I would forget them, so remind me of them. I will begin with the first issue. Regarding the resignation, I have told you before, but I will repeat what I said: I do not see that you should resign. However, I see that you should make use of the people's turning to you, their trust in you, your religion, and your character, in a noble religious manner, reminding them to seek the face of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) in all of that. This is the first matter, and I have nothing more to say about it.
