The Authenticity of the Hadith: "You are on the east side of the river, and they are on the west side"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner: His EminenceThe Shaykh : Is the hadith "You are on the east side of the river, and they are on the west side" authentic?

The Shaykh : No, it is not established in my view.

The questioner : It is not established.

The Shaykh : In its chain, if my memory does not fail me, it is certainly weak. However, the defect is that it contains a man who is unknown. This is despite the abundance of hadiths regarding the fighting of Muslims against the Jews, which are of a high degree of authenticity, as you know. There is nothing in them. So, such an addition, according to the scientific rules of hadith, we can say is a denounced addition, because it is weak in its chain on one hand, and contradicts the narrations of the trustworthy narrators on the other.

The questioner : Are the hadiths about the speaking of trees and stones established in contexts other than the fighting of the Dajjal?

The Shaykh : Specifically regarding the end of time, do you mean?

The questioner : Yes, is there something in it, meaning generally, without mentioning the Dajjal?

The Shaykh : Do you mean other than the fighting of Muslims against the Jews?

The questioner : Yes, even to the point that the trees and stones speak.

The Shaykh : Other than this, do you mean?

The questioner : This is as if it is the hadiths I saw regarding the Dajjal, or is that not the case?

The Shaykh : Yes, so is your question other than this?

The questioner : Other than this.

The Shaykh : I do not know.
