Mu'adh ibn Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) represents the belief of the Ahad reports in all of Islam.

The Shaykh : This is Mu'adh representing the belief of the Ahad reports in all of Islam, in its fundamentals and branches, in its beliefs and rulings. So where did they get this distinction from? [An-Najm 53:23]. And I conclude the word regarding the Ahad reports, which the Tahrir Party struck down dozens of authentic hadiths on the pretext that, by Allah, this is an Ahad report and no proof is established by it in matters of belief. Some of them mentioned the following point, claiming that one of the callers from the Tahrir Party went to Japan and delivered some lectures to them, including "The Path of Faith." In this path, it is stated that an Ahad report does not establish a belief. There was among the listeners a young man who was truly wise, shrewd, and astute. He said to him: "O Professor, you came here as a caller in the land of Japan, the land of disbelief and shirk (associating partners with Allah) as you say, calling them to Islam. And you say that Islam states that belief is not established by an Ahad report. And you tell us that it is part of the belief that one should not take belief from a single individual. And you are now calling us to Islam, and you are alone. So, based on your philosophy, you should return to your country and bring dozens of your fellow Muslims who agree with your view, so that your report would then become a mutawatir (mass-transmitted) report." The lecturer was left speechless. This is one of many examples indicating the bad outcome of deviating from the methodology of the pious Salaf.
