Is riba (usury or interest) limited to the six categories mentioned by the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : As for the answer to the second question, it is well known that scholars have differed in the past regarding the hadith of the six categories of riba. The majority hold that items similar to them are included, contrary to Ibn Hazm and those who follow his path, who are satisfied with stopping at the apparent meaning of the hadith and do not add anything to these six categories. In our view, the position of the majority is the stronger one, not because I am a follower of the majority, but because the evidence I saw in Sahih al-Bukhari and elsewhere compelled me to side with the majority here. That is his statement (peace be upon him):
And likewise, measuring by volume and weighing. وكذلك الكيل والوزن
This statement, which is established in Sahih al-Bukhari, contains a subtle indication that scholars understand, and from them we derived this opinion. We did not innovate the idea that the operative cause of riba is what is measured by volume or weight, and that what is not so is not among the categories of riba in any way, no matter how much one category differs from another. Yes.
