Advice from the Shaykh to the brothers regarding the issue of insurance.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : By way of reminder, and then my mind turned to something else. Right now, how many of us are there? Twenty or twenty-five different people in our prayer. The imam has not yet said "Ameen," yet some people have started and some are lagging behind, correct?

The questioner : Correct.

The Shaykh : This is contrary to the Sunnah. The Sunnah, according to the authentic hadith, is
When the Imam says Amin, say Amin إذا أمّن الإمام فأمّنوا
Sunan Abi Dawud 936Sahih (Al-Albani)
. So now, they are saying "Ameen" before the imam says it. This is a warning regarding the atmosphere we are in now. But the point, as I said once, is that Abu Malik, unlike anyone else in his mosque for the past few years, tries to increase his congregation, who, no matter how many they are, do not reach one hundred. He ensures that they do not precede the imam with "Ameen." He raises his hand; if he does not raise his hand, how do you expect us to say that you will gather as a group in the thousands, all on one heart and one understanding? By Allah, you are a people who rush. This is a simple matter. This is enough as an example. The reason is that the ground is not fertile. These are the people who hear the reminder. I am not speaking about Friday; I mean the five daily prayers, meaning his regular customers who frequent him. But on Friday, new customers come to him, and those are not my concern.

The questioner : And yet, he gives the warning.

The Shaykh : This is still a simple example. It does not cost him effort. It does not cost him jihad in wealth or self, or anything of that sort. It is just a bit of attention. Control yourself. Do not precede the imam with "Ameen." And no one is calling for help. This society wants to gather in a collective and partisan sense! Allahu Akbar.

Another questioner : Is this a misunderstanding or a weakness of faith?

The Shaykh : It is a weakness of faith, not a misunderstanding.
