The Shaykh :
if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is the best [way] and best in result. إن كنتم تؤمنون بالله واليوم الآخر ذلك خير وأحسن تأويلا
[An-Nisa 4:59]
Therefore, the Muslims have remained divided. This division, which is attested by the explicit text of the Noble Qur'an and by reality, is a cause of weakness and a cause of disunity. If we wish to eliminate this cause that led to disunity, it is obligatory for us to return to the Book and the Sunnah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave us good news of this when he said:
I have left among you two matters; you will not go astray as long as you hold fast to them: the Book of Allah and my Sunnah. They will not separate until they return to me at the Pond. تركت فيكم أمرين لن تضلوا ما إن تمسكتم بهما ، كتاب الله وسنتي ولن يتفرقا حتى يردا عليَّ الحوض
If the elite of the Muslims and their jurists are content for each of them to learn the religion according to a limited school of jurisprudence, what will be the state of the common Muslims? There is no doubt that their state will be like that of their jurists: rigid adherence to following a school of jurisprudence without knowing its evidence.
