Explanation of the Hadith: (There is no man who is in a land of... )

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
There is no man who is in a land of... in a land of... ما من رجل يكون في أرض قيٍ في أرض قيٍ
any desert in which there is no building
and he calls the adhan and establishes the prayer and prays, except that there will pray behind him from the creation of Allah what whose ends cannot be seen. فيؤذن ويقيم الصلاة ويصلي إلا صلى خلفه من خلق الله ما لا يرى طرفاه

The questioner : Allah is the Greatest, there is no god but Allah.

The Shaykh:
from the creation of Allah what whose ends cannot be seen. من خلق الله ما لا يرى طرفاه
The creation intended in this hadith is not humans, but rather the angels and the believing jinn. So now, in this place, we should seize this opportunity, and one of us whose voice is loud and resonant should raise his voice as much as he is able, so that every stone and brick may testify for him. And then, if Allah wills, those of Allah's creation that no one can see the ends of will pray with us.
Al-Halabi : Well, our Shaykh, what is the virtue of the fifty prayers?

The Shaykh : The adhan, and he repeats it.The Shaykh : (may Allah have mercy on him) behind him. We say that as for the one who wants to travel to the lands of disbelief, immorality, and open sinfulness, not to reside there as mentioned earlier, but for another purpose, as we indicated, such as trade, or secondly, for learning. As for the one who wants to travel, I say he must be protected and virtuous. He should be married, so that marriage protects him from his foot slipping, due to the abundance of temptations in those lands and the ease of falling into open sin, immorality, and obscenity, as you heard from some of our brothers earlier, from his saying (peace and blessings be upon him)
Young man, those of you who can support a wife should marry, for it keeps you from looking at strange women and preserves you from immorality يا معشر الشباب من استطاع منكم الباءة فليتزوج فإنه أغض للبصر وأحصن للفرج
Mishkat al-Masabih 3080
to the end of the hadith. And what concerns me here is the marriage of the one who wants to travel to those lands for a purpose that is permissible by the Shari'ah. I repeat, not for residence. He should be married first, and he should be characterized by Islamic morals second. We say that his travel to those lands is permissible, either for trade or for learning. Just as we stipulate that trade must be lawful, so we stipulate that the study must be lawful. For example, if he travels to specialize in art, in dancing, or in banking operations, this brings the topic closer to you. Of course, we say that studying this is not permissible in his own country, let alone going to study this defective knowledge that contradicts the Shari'ah in those lands. So, in brief, travel to the lands of disbelief is permissible, but residence is not, with conditions. So whoever adheres to these conditions, it is permissible for him; otherwise, it is not.

The questioner : May Allah bless you, O Shaykh. Anas, our brother.

The Shaykh : You did not greet us, O Anas. But if you speak, then listen.

Another questioner : Peace be upon you and the mercy of Allah.

The questioner : And upon you be peace, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings.
