Is it permissible to shave the beard if doing so serves the organizational structure?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : He saysThe questioner : Is it permissible to shave the beard if doing so serves the organizational structure?

The Shaykh : This question reminds us of some of what came in the previous questions regarding organization, brothers. If the organization is within the limits of the commands and rulings of Islam, then I do not imagine a Muslim jurist would deny it. But the reality is that many of the organizations existing today are not established on the basis of the jurisprudence of the Book and the Sunnah and on the methodology of the righteous predecessors. And this is the example now in this question: Is it permissible to shave the beard for the benefit of what? The organization. The answer, as you have heard from me in some of what has passed, is that it is permissible and it is not permissible. But you will hear something stranger than what you have heard. But I begin with the most important: It is not permissible, but it is permissible. It is not permissible in the ruling of the Shari'ah because shaving the beard is from the major sins, and this is what many of the young Muslim men today are unaware of, especially those who are organized in a party or group. Because these parties and groups do not concern themselves, and this is one of the differences that I hope some of you will pay attention to.The questioner : in those questions. This is one of the differences between our call and the call of some of the groups who claimed in some of the questions that they are with us on the methodology of the Book and the Sunnah. So we said, in that case, a concise answer: that this is a call.
And the claims, unless you establish proofs for them, their claimants are false claimants.
And the evidence now came to you in the question: Shaving the beard is from the major sins. So is it permissible to adopt a means for the benefit of the organization to commit a major sin? Of course, Islamically, it is not permissible. But I said just now that it is permissible, but according to whose school? According to the school of Abu Nuwas. Do you know Abu Nuwas? Abu Nuwas says: "And I was afflicted by that which was the disease." And it is permissible according to the school of the Jews who say, "The end justifies the means." And now you do not need [to look far], for the Jews are your neighbors here, unfortunately, and they kill every day, what Allah wills, of innocent souls. "The end justifies the means" is a Jewish principle. Now how did this end deceive some of the young Muslim men, or rather some of the Muslim heads who are in charge of guiding these young men? They justify for them and make permissible for them what is contrary to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out (3) And will provide for him from where he does not expect. و من يتق الله يجعل له مخرجا و يرزقه من حيث لا يحتسب
[At-Talaq 65:2-3]
And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him a way out و من يتق الله يجعل له مخرجا
[At-Talaq 65:2]
No, if you let your beard grow, your identity is exposed, and perhaps you will be arrested, imprisoned, and tortured, and they will extract the secrets from you, and I do not know what other statements there are. So the answer is: Islamically, it is not permissible, because shaving the beard is from the major sins. And I do not think the time now allows for delivering a lecture and presenting the evidence by which we are certain that the shaving of a man's beard is from the major sins, and not only, as many people claim, contrary to the Sunnah. My brother, the Sunnah is that one is rewarded for doing it and not punished for leaving it. No, this is not just a Sunnah, because the meaning of the Sunnah is that the Messenger did it, so if we follow him, we are rewarded, and if we do not do it, we are not sinful. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded to let the beard grow and warned against opposing it, and warned against imitating women, and warned against imitating the disbelievers, and warned against changing the creation of Allah. Four pieces of evidence, each of which stands alone to prove that shaving the beard is a major sin. So what do you say when all four have gathered for that? So it is not permissible to shave the beard for a claimed benefit, and there is no benefit in the disobedience of Allah, Mighty and Majestic. Yes.
