Is the statement that a person’s Islam is not complete through prayer or fasting unless he achieves social and economic justice, especially if he is in a position of responsibility, correct?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : It is said that a person’s Islam is not complete through prayer, fasting, or Hajj unless he works to achieve social and economic justice, especially if he is in a position of responsibility.

The Shaykh : My brother, social justice is not something an individual can achieve, may Allah reward you. Social justice requires an Islamic state. Therefore, imposing this issue now is premature. However, there is social justice in what we mentioned earlier in passing: between a man and his wife, between him and his children, and between him and his neighbors. This is Islam. What do we need from Western philosophy? They return their terms to us, and we present our Shari'ah and rulings to them, and so on. For example, kindness to animals. What do the disbelievers know about kindness to animals when they do not show kindness to humans, as you see? But from our side, the source of kindness to animals is our Prophet and our righteous predecessors. They have no trace of this, no report transmitted from any of their prophets, or from a righteous person, or from a great man. All of it stems from our Prophet and our righteous predecessors. But unfortunately, we no longer appreciate our religion and its Shari'ah as it deserves, so we have become a burden on those who benefited from us. We have forgotten the Shari'ah of our Lord, while they have held on to some of our Shari'ah, even though they do not believe in it.

The questioner : We are on the brink of a pit.

The Shaykh : We are on the brink of a pit. We ask Allah to save us from it. Please, go ahead.
