The Meaning of Allah’s Saying: “Divorce them during their waiting period,” and the two cases in which divorce is pronounced during the waiting period

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
then divorce them during their waiting period فطلقوهن لعدتهن
When is divorce pronounced during the waiting period? Divorce is pronounced during the waiting period in two cases: if he divorces her while she is pregnant, or if he divorces her during a period of purity in which he did not have intercourse with her. Note that divorce is pronounced during the waiting period in two cases: if he divorces her while she is pregnant, or if he divorces her during a period of purity in which he did not have intercourse with her. This is because if he divorces her while she is pregnant, her waiting period begins from the time of the divorce, and if he divorces her during a period of purity in which he did not have intercourse with her, her waiting period begins from the time of the divorce. By this, we know that the divorce of a pregnant woman is effective, and it is not as some of the common people understand it to be ineffective, because some of the common people think that the divorce of a pregnant woman does not take effect. This is a belief that has no basis whatsoever, and no scholar has ever held this view. If a man divorces his wife while she is pregnant, she is divorced. The second case is if he divorces her during a period of purity in which he did not have intercourse with her.
