Some of the brothers call the adhan according to the timing you established; have the five minutes been eliminated?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Out of caution, some of the brothers call the adhan according to the timing you established; have the five minutes been eliminated?

The Shaykh : The timing we established is based on what the astronomers working at King Abdulaziz Center mentioned, and also on a clock called the Bilal Clock... four. We tested it and found it close to what the brothers at the center established, so we rely on it.
But the issue remains regarding the clock: is it accurate or not? For example, if I asked you what time it is now? Okay. Ten, and how many minutes?
The student: ...

The Shaykh : Ten and ten. I have ten and seven. Yes, my clock is now at eight. No, it is not delayed at all. In my opinion, the one who sets the clocks to London time, and this one is set to that, if someone wanted to open it to the Kingdom's time, what would it be? Yes, the phone. Yes, the phone is now at ten and eight and a half minutes, approximately. So the clocks differ. A mu'adhdhin might call the adhan at the time, but his clock is fast, so he is early. And another mu'adhdhin, conversely, his clock is... yes, he calls after the time, and he is on the timing, meaning in terms of accuracy, but the clock is not accurate.
In any case, a person should be cautious, praise be to Allah, he should be cautious. But here is an issue mentioned to me by some of the brothers in Riyadh. He said that some people wake up from their sleep thinking it is summer, then they eat and drink before looking at the clock. And if they see the clock, or if they miss it, it is half an hour. Yes, is this permissible? It is not permissible, because this is of the kind of the ostrich that, when it sees the hunter, puts its head in the sand so it does not see him if he catches it. This is a mistake. If you wake up and think it is summer, look at the clock first. And praise be to Allah, in our time, meaning in this year, praise be to Allah, there is no long day or heat; the weather is moderate. If a person fasted without eating or drinking, it would not be difficult for him, would it? And if it were not that a person wants to draw near to Allah by eating the suhur, he would not eat the suhur. But the suhur is a recommended practice, meaning eat in the last part of the night, and you are worshipping Allah with this eating, because the suhur contains three acts of worship.
The first act of worship is obeying the command of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), because he said:
Eat Suhur, for in Suhur there is a blessing. تسحروا فإن في السحور بركة
Sunan Ibn Majah 1692Sahih (Darussalam)

The second act of worship is following the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), because he used to eat the suhur.
The third act of worship is preserving the body and strengthening oneself for the obedience of Allah. Therefore, we should remember these meanings while we eat the suhur, so that our suhur is not just for filling the stomachs. Yes.

The questioner : Mentioning the virtue of the Shaykh...

The Shaykh : The summary, my brothers, is that a person should be cautious. It is not necessary for him to say, "I am eating," or "The mu'adhdhin is early," or if he wakes up thinking it is summer, he will eat before returning to the clock. This is a mistake. Yes.
