Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Returning branches to their roots helps in understanding the meaning. Therefore, the meaning is often difficult to grasp. When it is said to the student, "This is fa'l from fa'ala," the difficulty is resolved. The science of derivation is very important, to the extent that some scholars say that even static nouns that do not indicate a meaning are, in reality, derived. They claimed that every word indicates its meaning, even claiming that static nouns indicate meaning. He said: "Hajar (stone) is not derived from hajar (stone), but you can imagine hardness and strength from it. However, this is contrary to the position of the majority, because it is not derived from a meaning. The fact that a person imagines that the stone has strength and hardness is based on the fact that he has understood and known that the stone is hard.
