The Meaning of the Poet's Saying: If Your Lord Is One, Exalted Is He *** Then Single Him Out for Tawhid Along with Ihsan, Or If Your Lord Is One Who Created You, He Did Not Associate With Him When He Created You a Second Lord
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And for this reason, he said:
"If Your Lord Is One, Exalted Is He *** Then Single Him Out for Tawhid Along with Ihsan"
The Lord is One (Mighty and Majestic)[Al-Anbya 21:22] [Al-Mu'minun 23:91]. So Allah the Exalted is One, and for this reason he said:
"If Your Lord Is One" means if you hold this belief and you are sincere.
"Then Single Him Out for Tawhid Along with Ihsan". Single Him out for tawhid through sincerity, and for ihsan through following [the Prophet].
"Or If Your Lord Is One Who Created You, He Did Not *** Associate With Him When He Created You a Second Lord".
And this is accepted, or is it not accepted? It is accepted. The One who created me is One, He is Allah. My mother did not create me, nor my father, nor any person. The One who created me is Allah (Mighty and Majestic) alone. So if He is One, then single Him out for worship, and for this reason he said:
"Likewise, He is alone, so worship Him and do not *** Worship anyone other than Him, O brother of gnosis".
So the author (may Allah have mercy on him) mentioned two reasons for the existence of sincerity: The first reason is that you believe that Allah is One. The second reason is that you believe that Allah alone is the One who created you. If that is the case, is it permissible for you after this to make a partner with Him in worship? No.
And for this reason, the author (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
"Likewise, He is alone, so worship Him and do not *** Worship anyone other than Him, O brother of gnosis".
"If Your Lord Is One, Exalted Is He *** Then Single Him Out for Tawhid Along with Ihsan"
The Lord is One (Mighty and Majestic)
