The Meaning of the Poet's Saying: "Until, when the opinions of men *** contradicted the Sunnah of the one sent with the Qur'an, they called you an innovator and a misguidance-seeker *** They said, and regarding his declaration as a disbeliever, there are two opinions"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"Until, when the opinions of men
They called it an innovation and misguidance *** and they said there are two opinions regarding declaring him a disbeliever

It is astonishing that when one contradicts the opinions of men and the words of their shaykhs regarding the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger, they call him an innovator and a misguidance-seeker. Then they say, "Regarding his declaration as a disbeliever, we have two opinions: some of us say he is a disbeliever, and some of us say he is an innovator and a misguidance-seeker, and we disavow to Allah declaring him a disbeliever." Yes, these are the scrupulous ones who were scrupulous about declaring him a disbeliever. As for the others, they are bolder than them; they declared as disbelievers this one who contradicted the opinions of the shaykhs regarding the word of Allah and the word of His Messenger. He says:
"They said you disparaged the great ones and the rest of the *** scholars, and indeed you openly proclaimed lies".
This is undoubtedly a reality, but in our lands, praise be to Allah, we do not feel it because it does not exist. However, if you go to other countries, in the Islamic lands, or read what happened in history, you will find this to be a confirmed matter. When you contradict the orders of the shaykhs, they shout and wail at you: "You are an innovator and a misguidance-seeker, you disparage the scholars, you..." and so on.
