The Shaykh : He said:
"O my people, you made a peace with the deniers of the Essence and the *** Attributes, a peace that necessitates safety"
Yes, O my people, to whom is this address directed? To the deniers of attributes. You made a peace with the deniers of the Essence and the Attributes, and they are the atheists who deny the existence of Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and the existence of His Attributes. You made a peace with them, a peace that necessitates safety. Safety between whom? Between the deniers of attributes and the people of atheism. And you were deceived.
"And you were deceived, and there is weakness in them, a raid *** in which you clashed with them with a noisy sound"
It means you raided the people of atheism, but it was a raid of weakness, not a raid of strength. This is because the deniers of attributes claim that they are the ones who repelled the Mu'tazilah and repelled the people of atheism, and that they are the ones who established the proof against them. However, the author (may Allah have mercy on him) will clarify that this claim has no basis and no evidence for it.
"There was no one killed from them in it *** No, nor was there a captive in it who was bound"
It means that your war against them, hmm, did not benefit anything. It did not kill anyone, such as Bad al-Qadir, and—answer—did not kill anyone from the people of atheism, and—what are you with us—said: No, yes.
"Nor was there a captive in it who was bound" It means and you did not take any captives. So it is nothing but a clatter, like one who strikes with a worn-out basket in order to scare his enemy, while he has nothing.
Yes, what?
"And you twisted in speech or you fabricated *** And you came in your research with a lie" Hmm, with the lam.
