(Mentioning the reasons why the truth does not appear to people and the meaning of clear intellect) We have aligned ourselves with the Qur'an and the authentic transmission that explains the Qur'an, and likewise with the intellect

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
" We have aligned ourselves with the Qur'an and the authentic transmission that explains the Qur'an
and likewise with the clear intellect and the fitrah of the Merciful before the alteration of man
They are four interrelated things, some of which *** have been verified by others on the scale "

They are four things: we have aligned ourselves with the Qur'an, which is the speech of Allah, and the authentic transmission from whom? From the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), who explains the Qur'an. The third is the clear intellect. The clear intellect means that which is free from doubts and desires.
Doubts are the confusion of the truth for a person, may Allah protect us, such that the truth does not become clear to him. This happens often; the truth does not become clear to a person, and its cause is sins. Its cause is sins. Look at the one who, when the verses of Allah are recited to him, says, "These are the tales of the ancients." Allah the Exalted said:
No! كلا
They are not the tales of the ancients
Rather, the stain has covered their hearts of that which they were earning. بل ران على قلوبهم ما كانوا يكسبون
[Al-Mutaffifin 83:14]
So they were prevented from seeing the truth as truth. We ask Allah for safety.
What is the second? Desires. That means inclination and will. It is not the desire of sex, the desire of intercourse. No, desires mean inclination and will. That is, a person may have knowledge, but he has a bad intention. He has a bad intention; he does not want the truth. He follows his own desire. So what is the clear intellect? That which is free from doubts and desires. Free from doubts means he has knowledge, and free from desires means he has a good will. The defect comes either from the first or from the second. Therefore, you will not find anyone who contradicts the truth except due to a deficiency in his understanding, a lack in his knowledge, a negligence in seeking it, or a badness in his intention. These are the causes of a person's deficiency or the causes of the lack of knowledge. All right.
