"Would you leave it because of your falsehood and your impossibilities? *** No, that would not be by the grace of the Most Merciful"
Yes, meaning, would we leave it because of your falsehood, which is speech that has no benefit, and your impossibilities, which you bring forth? No, that would not be by the grace of Allah the Exalted. This phrase is a supplication, meaning I ask Allah the Exalted that that not be the case.
"And you called us to what you said *** We said: May Allah protect us from abandonment"
Meaning, you are calling us to say what you said regarding the denial of the divine attributes, and we seek refuge in Allah from abandonment, because a person's descent to what those who deny the attributes were upon is undoubtedly one of the greatest forms of abandonment. We ask Allah for safety.
