The Shaykh : The author (may Allah have mercy on him) said, after mentioning these deniers of the divine attributes from the theologians and others, that they inherited from whom? They inherited from the philosophers and the logicians. He said:
"O you who inherit your Prophet, good news to you *** Your inheritance is not the same as their inheritance; there is a vast difference between the heirs and the one who has two shares"
"Good news to you" means good news for you. The heirs of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) are those who inherited from him in knowledge, action, and calling; in knowledge, action, and calling. These are the heirs of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).
