The Shaykh :"And our statement is what the two parents said before the statement of the wrongdoer, the sinner"
What is it? He said:
"We are the ones who wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive the great sin, then we are among the losers"
The author presented the verse in terms of its meaning. Allah the Exalted said regarding Adam and Eve:
They said, "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers." قال ربنا ظلمنا أنفسنا وإن لم تغفر لنا وترحمنا لنكونن من الخاسرين
[Al-A'raf 7:23]
