Is it permissible to say only "La hawla"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Is it permissible for you to say only "La hawla"?

The Shaykh : It is permissible. I am saying something other than this, but it might cause more difficulty. I will tell you about the *hawqalah*. Is it permissible or not permissible?

The questioner : By Allah, you are more knowledgeable about it.

The Shaykh : No problem, but you asked me, and I am asking you. It is permissible as long as it indicates the intended meaning, for the best of speech is that which is brief and conveys the meaning. And now, we are in the state of dhikr (remembrance of Allah); when we want to sit and remember Allah, we say "La ilaha illa Allah," we do not say "Allah, Allah, Allah." But when I want to say that Allah said, I say "Allah said." And now, my intention is to draw your attention to the *hawqalah* with the word "La hawla" and nothing else. My intention is not to remember Allah.
