The one who joins the funeral prayer late: does he do as in the obligatory prayer?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Shaykh, does the one who joins the funeral prayer late do as in the obligatory prayer?

The Shaykh: Yes,
and pray whatever you get (with the people) and complete the rest which you have missed فما أدركتم فصلوا وما فاتكم فأتموا
Sahih al-Bukhari 635
.

The questioner : Shaykh, regarding the case where the imam missed something after the first takbir, meaning he was supposed to make the supplication first and then the prayer upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), but he forgot?

The Shaykh : There is no prostration for forgetfulness in the funeral prayer, but it is possible to make up for it. That is, if he made the supplication in the place of the prayer upon the Messenger (peace be upon him), then in that case we cancel the supplication and pray upon the Messenger, and he makes the supplication in the place of the supplication.

The questioner : Shaykh, what if he reduced the four takbirs and only said three?

The Shaykh : That is easier.

The questioner : He said the taslim.

The Shaykh : Is a rak'ah easier or a takbir? A takbir.

The questioner : May Allah reward you with good.

The Shaykh : And beware of that.

The questioner : If he did not know, that is a problem. But if it was forgetfulness, there is no blame on the person; it is not in his control.

The Shaykh : There is no god but Allah.
