A word on upbringing and its precedence over jihad.

Al-Halali: They criticize us when a person asks about jihad in Kashmir, or jihad in Bosnia, or jihad in Afghanistan. The Salafi callers to Allah all insist that upbringing must come first. They say, "Until when will you be raising them? Is it possible to raise the entire Ummah?"

The Shaykh : And we say, the entire Ummah!
Al-Halali: They understand that.

The Shaykh : No harm, my brother, we understand them correctly in their concepts. But when they say it is impossible to raise an entire Ummah, we say, "So, you are saying now about them..." They say, "If you correct their understanding, people, we are not saying that millions and millions of these people must all be raised on one word and one creed. We want this fighting faction, sometimes with the tongue and sometimes with the teeth, according to the circumstances of the place and time. This faction must be purified and raised, because we see in reality today that they are fighting in the path of Allah, but their prayers are not valid, their fasting is not valid, the women of their households are displaying their adornment, their homes are like the homes of the Jews and Christians, and so on. Therefore, we want to achieve, as we always say on such an occasion, the realization of a verse in the Noble Qur'an We ask them, what is the meaning of Summarize this noble verse in two, three, four, five, or ten words from your side, and so on. This innovation came out with us, this purification and upbringing.

The questioner : And what a good innovation this is.

The Shaykh : Yes, what will come out of you? Let us see this. First, this is as an intellectual foundation, then practical. What do you have? There is nothing but shouting, wailing, and enthusiasm that has no brakes, no reins, no rules, no regulations. The matter is loose. We fight in the path of Allah, Allah is our helper, and we see that it has been years since we have been seeing the jihad of the Muslims. What is the fruit of this jihad? If one of these people dies having understood the creed as the righteous Salaf understood it, one dies and it is hoped that the Fire will not touch him unless Allah the Mighty and Majestic wills it. But he dies while fighting and battling. However, if you asked him, "Where is Allah?" he would tell you, "He is everywhere." This is what the doctors of the end times say: Allah is everywhere. Or, this Saqaf came out with them recently: He is not inside the world nor outside of it. If it were said, "Speak more eloquently than the one who spoke in the Arabic tongue, describe to me the non-existent," he would not be able to say more than, "He is not inside the world nor outside of it." This is their object of worship. Allahu Akbar. That is the clear misguidance.

The questioner : Our Shaykh, regarding the question, the response to these people is not answered by the hadith of Hudhayfah ibn al-Yaman when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed at the end meaning Khubab, meaning upbringing comes before. And if they rush the defense, as they say, defense before upbringing, they have rushed them. And the hadith of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) until he said He did not say "until you fight," he said and the return here is considered understanding the religion... upon the religion, so there is never any calling without upbringing.

The Shaykh : This is correct.

The questioner : And the greatest proof for this is Afghanistan now, after what has happened!

The Shaykh : Unfortunately.

The questioner : I wish we could say, I wish it had not been, because it reached the worst it could be!

The Shaykh Allahu Akbar.

The questioner : So the defense they are asking for, I do not know what defense comes before upbringing, because upbringing, our Shaykh, requires patience and a very long time. We return to saying, "But you are rushing." This is the test that they do not have patience for.

The Shaykh : And we repeat the meaning of this verse: "Whoever rushes a matter before its time is tried with deprivation." Yes.
