Not fasting on that day alone and the ruling on fasting on Saturday

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : And among the characteristics of this day is that it is not fasted alone, except for one who has a habit and it coincides with that habit. That is, it is not permissible to single out Friday for fasting. Either you fast on Thursday with it, or you fast on Saturday with it. And what night is meant? Which night?
The student: The night of Friday.

The Shaykh : And tomorrow.
The student: Friday.

The Shaykh : And on the day of Friday, drowsiness comes upon one while listening to the dhikr. Yes, sleep has overtaken you now. Rest. Fine, listen. The day of Friday is not fasted alone. That means, either you fast on Thursday or Saturday with it. You fast on Saturday with it, except for one who has a habit and it coincides with his habit. For example, if one is among those who fast one day and break the fast the next, and Friday coincides with his day of fasting, there is no harm in fasting, and there is no blame on him. Likewise, if Friday is the Day of 'Arafah, fast, and there is no blame on him. Likewise, if Friday coincides with the Day of 'Ashura, fast, and there is no blame on him. However, the Day of 'Ashura is specific in that it is fasted on the day before it or the day after it, in opposition to whom? To the Jews. As for Saturday, fasting on it is permissible for one who adds Friday to it. And as for without Friday, do not fast on Saturday. Do not single it out, unless it coincides with a habit or a day whose fasting is prescribed, such as the Day of 'Arafah or the Day of 'Ashura.
