Clarification that it is not permissible to pay it from money, clothing, jewelry, or anything else.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : It is not permissible to pay its value, nor is it permissible to pay it from clothing, bedding, jewelry, or anything else. This means that if a person gives a poor woman jewelry worth one hundred riyals in place of a sa' of zakat al-fitr, that does not suffice for him, because this is contrary to what the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded. The Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) made it obligatory from food, and whoever does a deed for which there is no command from Allah and His Messenger, it is rejected from him. However, if you give dirhams to a trustworthy person to buy food for you at the time of paying zakat al-fitr and to distribute it, then there is nothing wrong with that. How much is this? How much... now? Its ruling and its type.
