The Meaning of the Saying of Allah the Exalted: (And you do not will except that Allah wills)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :
And you do not will except that Allah wills وما تشاؤون إلا أن يشاء الله
[Al-Insan 76:30]
Here, someone might ask: How did He say:
so whoever wills may take فمن شاء اتّخذ
[Al-Muzzammil 73:19]
and then say
And you do not will except that Allah wills وما تشاؤون إلا أن يشاء الله
[Al-Insan 76:30]
? The answer is that we say: The will of man is created by Allah (Mighty and Majestic); He is the One who created it. Therefore, a person does not will anything except after Allah creates in him a will, for Allah is the Creator of all things. And He (Mighty and Majestic) made it clear that the matter is in His hands so that we turn to Allah (Mighty and Majestic) and do not boast about ourselves if we are granted success in obedience. Rather, we know with certainty that that is from the generosity, grace, and kindness of Allah.
