The questioner : May Allah reward you, he saysThe questioner : Your Eminence, no doubt that attributing a hadith to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is among the greatest harms; is this person to be killed for his action?

The Shaykh : That is, attributing a hadith means that a person lies about the Messenger (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him), that he lies about the Messenger. And there is no doubt that lying about the Messenger (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) is among the major sins. So if it is known that this man is a fabricator who fabricates false hadiths about the Messenger, and his evil cannot be averted except by killing him, then it is obligatory to kill him, because attributing hadiths to the Messenger (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) is among the greatest corruption on earth. And Allah the Exalted said:
Indeed, the penalty for those who wage war against Allah and His Messenger and strive upon earth [to cause] corruption is none but that they be killed or crucified or that their hands and feet be cut off from opposite sides or that they be exiled from the land إنما جزاء الذين يحاربون الله ورسوله ويسعون في الأرض فساداً أن يقتلوا أو يصلبوا أو تقطع أيديهم وأرجلهم من خلاف أو ينفوا من الأرض
[Al-Ma'idah 5:33]
So if it is known that this man is attributing hadiths to the Messenger (may Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him) and he has not repented from that, and his evil cannot be averted except by killing him, then it is obligatory to kill him. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you, the questioner says...

The Shaykh : Everyone’s questions are necessary.
The student: It is necessary because it contains a doubtful matter.

The Shaykh : Let’s move on, let’s move on...
