Regarding its manner, with an example.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The fourth point is regarding its manner. If a person worships Allah with a form of worship that is contrary to the prescribed manner, that becomes a religious innovation and that becomes invalid. For example: If a person intended to pray by starting with prostration before bowing, we would say that this prayer is contrary to the Shari'ah in its manner, so it is rejected and it is not from the religion in any way. If he performed the ablution upside down, meaning starting with the feet, then the head, then the hands, then the face, we would say this act of worship is not valid. Why? Because it contradicts the Shari'ah in its manner.
