Continuation of the benefits of the hadith of 'Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) regarding the pledge.

The Shaykh : We explained some of its benefits, among which is: the permissibility of trading with the Jews through buying and selling, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) traded with this Jew, but on the condition that there be no harm to the Muslims. If there is harm to the Muslims, then trading with them is prohibited. An example of this is: if our trading with them through buying and selling strengthens their economy and increases their power against the Muslims and weakens the Muslims, or if it leads to deviating from what the Muslims do, then it is prohibited, because there is harm in it. And a permissible matter, if it entails harm, becomes forbidden. Among the benefits of this hadith is the modesty of the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) means, meaning the modesty of the means of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) was not among the wealthy in terms of his wealth, but he was wealthy in his heart. So he (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) gave the gift of one who does not fear poverty, and he lived in his own person the life of the poor. So look at how this giving affected this Bedouin; through this giving, he became a caller to Islam. And despite this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) lived in his own person the life of the poor. And here is the hadith of 'Aishah, where she says that he died while his armor was pledged with a Jew. And at that time, we ask: what is the benefit of the pledge? The benefit is securing the debt, such that when the term arrives and the pledgor does not repay his debt, the pledgee has the right to sell the pledge and recover the price from it. And this is a great benefit.
