We request details on who is excused for their ignorance and who is not, in the fundamentals or the branches?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : May Allah reward you, O Shaykh. We request details on who is excused for their ignorance and who is not, in the fundamentals or the branches?

The Shaykh : The detail in this is that if a person leaves off an obligatory act out of ignorance of it, meaning ignorance of its obligation, then he must make it up once he learns of it. However, if the period has been long and his ignorance has been extensive, then it is not made up. The evidence for this is that a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and prayed in the mosque a prayer in which he did not settle in his positions, then he greeted the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet said:
go back and pray for indeed you have not prayed له ارجع فصل فإنك لم تصل
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2692Sahih (Darussalam)
until he mentioned this three times. Then the man said:
By Him who sent you with the truth, I do not know how to do anything other than this, so teach me. So he taught him. والذي بعثك بالحق لا أحسن غير هذا فعلمني فعلمه
In this hadith, there is evidence that if a person leaves off an obligatory part of the current prayer, he must repeat it until he performs it in a complete manner. As for past prayers that a person cannot reach, or a past prayer that a person cannot make up due to their number, then he owes no making up of them. Yes.

The questioner : May Allah reward you, O Shaykh. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

The Shaykh : A minute. And this indicates that if a person leaves off an obligatory act for an excuse, then he is not required to make it up, so he is excused by ignorance, whether that is in the fundamentals of creed or in other matters. But if he is negligent, not asking people or hearing the truth, but turning away from it to what the fathers were upon, then if he says a word of disbelief or does an act of disbelief, he becomes a disbeliever.
