The questioner : She says that she is a student of Islamic knowledge and seeks your advice. She says: Despite my feeling that I have not reached sufficient knowledge to convey the call to Allah, due to my shyness, is it sufficient to convey a little of it? I hope for your guidance.
The Shaykh : It is obligatory for one whom Allah has granted knowledge to disseminate it among people whenever the need arises, because knowledge is a trust that a person must fulfill for those who are its rightful recipients. For example, the hadith of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in which he said:Jami` at-Tirmidhi 2669Sahih (Darussalam).
And the obligations that are required of a servant are according to his ability. So this questioner should convey from the Shari'ah of Allah what she has learned according to her ability[Al-Baqarah 2:286] and start with the closest, then the next closest, because Allah the Exalted said: [Ash-Shu'ara 26:214] and because the closest are more deserving of kindness than the farther ones, so let her start with them. And let her be wise in delivering knowledge in style, in situation, in timing, and in place, for that is what leads to good. Allah the Exalted said: [Al-Baqarah 2:269].
The questioner : May Allah bless you. She asks about the authenticity of the hadith:Al-Mustadrak lil-Hakim 2:55 I hope for details? And how is the concealment of knowledge?
The Shaykh : The concealment of knowledge occurs by hiding it when the need arises to explain it. The need that calls for explaining knowledge through questioning is either by the language of the situation or by the language of speech:
Questioning by the language of the situation is when people are in ignorance regarding the religion of Allah; they do not know the religion of Allah the Mighty and Majestic; they do not know what is required of them in ritual purity, in prayer, in zakah, in fasting, in Hajj, in dutifulness to parents, in maintaining family ties. At that time, it is obligatory to explain the knowledge. Or by the language of speech, when a person asks you about an issue from the issues of religion and you know its ruling, then it is obligatory for you to explain it. And whoever conceals knowledge from what Allah has taught him is in great danger. Allah the Exalted said:[Al-Baqarah 2:159-160]
And He the Exalted said:[Ali 'Imran 3:187] And let the student of knowledge know that the more he explains knowledge, the more his knowledge increases, for knowledge increases with the increase of its dissemination. Allah the Exalted said: [Muhammad 47:17].

(159) Indeed, those who conceal what We sent down of clear proofs and guidance after We made it clear for the people in the Scripture - those are cursed by Allah and cursed by those who curse, (160) Except for those who repent and correct themselves and make evident [what they concealed]. Those - I will accept their repentance, and I am the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful.
