Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings.

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace, and Allah's mercy and blessings.

The questioner : In the question: A woman is with a man who commits some sins and major transgressions, such as narcotics and the like, and she is suffering from this man. She is a woman of righteousness and faith, and we consider her to be so, and Allah is her accountant. The question is what this woman should do. She has advised him and made efforts for this man to leave this forbidden act and return to Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), but without success. So what is your opinion? Does she go to her family, or does she be patient, perhaps so that Allah will guide him? Also, regarding his sons, he prevents them from praying. We want a simple word on this topic?

The Shaykh : Does this man who commits forbidden acts pray or not?The questioner : He prays, but with negligence. Sometimes at home, sometimes at work, and sometimes he is late.
Answer: I see that if she has advised him and he did not benefit, she has the right to request annulment, and the marriage is annulled. But in any case, in such matters, there may be, for example, things that prevent her from being able to annul the marriage, because she is tied to him through children, and problems arise in the annulment. So if his sin does not reach the level of disbelief, there is no blame on her for remaining with him out of fear of harm. But if it reaches the level of disbelief, such as him not praying, then she does not remain with him for a blink of an eye.
