What are the obligatory conditions to be followed in prostration of recitation if one is the imam in a quiet prayer, or praying alone in a loud prayer, or driving a car?

The questioner : Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings.

The Shaykh : And upon you be peace, and Allah's mercy and blessings.

The questioner : What are the conditions required for prostration of recitation, O Shaykh, may Allah forgive you, for the imam in a non-loud prayer, and what are the conditions for the one praying alone in a loud prayer, and what are the conditions for the one who is riding in a car or walking on a road or similar to that, and may Allah reward you with good?

The Shaykh : Prostration of recitation is the prostration whose cause is the recitation of the Qur'an, and the prostrations of the Qur'an are known, praise be to Allah, and they are indicated in the mushafs. So when a person passes a verse containing a prostration, it is recommended for him to prostrate in following the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Rightly Guided Caliphs. In the authentic hadith:
That the Commander of the Faithful 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) was preaching to the people on the minbar on Friday, so he passed the prostration verse in Surat al-Nahl, so he came down and prostrated, and the people prostrated with him. And in another Friday, he recited it and passed the prostration verse but did not prostrate, and he said: "Allah has not obligated prostration upon us except that we wish to do it."
, so prostration of recitation is a recommended practice. Whenever a person passes a prostration verse at any time of night or day, he prostrates. However, he says takbir when he prostrates and does not say takbir when he rises, and he does not say taslim, because that has not been reported from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). In fact, there is even a consideration regarding saying takbir when prostrating. For this reason, the Shaykh al-Islam (may Allah have mercy on him) said: He does not say takbir for the prostration nor for rising from the prostration, and he does not say taslim.
But he should say takbir for the prostration due to a hadith that was reported regarding that. He says takbir for the prostration, not for rising from the prostration, unless he is in prayer. If he is in prayer, let him say takbir when he prostrates and when he rises.
As for the brother's question about the imam reciting the prostration verse in a quiet prayer, the scholars said: "It is not recommended for the imam to recite a prostration verse in a quiet prayer", because he is between two things: either he prostrates and causes confusion for the ma'mums, especially if the mosque is spacious and the ma'mums are many, in which case he causes confusion for those behind him.
Or he does not prostrate, in which case he has left a recommended practice. So it is better for the imam not to recite a prostration verse. But if he recites it, there is nothing wrong with it, except that in this case he should make the ma'mums aware that this is a prostration and not a bowing, by raising his voice with the prostration verse so that people know that he is prostrating and not bowing.
As for the one who recites it while praying alone, the one who prays alone prostrates, whether in a quiet prayer or in a loud prayer.
As for the one who recites it in a car, the one who recites a prostration verse in a car also prostrates by nodding, unless he is the driver of the car. If he is the driver of the car, he does not prostrate, because if he prostrates, he becomes distracted from watching the road and throws himself into destruction.
