Explanation of the Book on Ablution, the Full Ritual Bath, Menstruation, and Dry Ablution-05b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Ali ibn Abdullah narrated to us, saying: Ya'qub ibn Ibrahim ibn Sa'd narrated to us, saying: My father narrated to us from Salih from Ibn Shihab, saying: Mahmud ibn al-Rabi' informed me, saying:
On whose face Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) had thrown water from his mouth, the water having been taken from their well while he was still a young boy وهو الذي مج رسول الله صلّى الله عليه وسلم في وجهه وهو غلام من بئرهم
Sahih al-Bukhari 6354
. And Urwah said from al-Miswar and others, and each of them corroborates the other:
Whenever the Prophet (ﷺ) , performed ablution, his companions were nearly fighting for the remains of the water. وإذا توضأ النبي صلّى الله عليه وسلم كانوا يقتتلون على وضوئه
Sahih al-Bukhari 189
.

The Shaykh : We are at: A chapter, the author (may Allah have mercy on him) says: "Chapter on using the leftover water of people's ablution", and wudu' means the water with which one performs ablution, and wudu' is the action. Then he mentioned the athar of Jarir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him): "That he ordered his family to perform ablution with the leftover water from his miswak", as if (may Allah be pleased with him) he washed his miswak in the vessel and ordered his family to perform ablution with that.
Then he mentioned the hadith of Ibn Hujayfah, in which it says:
That the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution from the water that was brought to him, so the people would take from the leftover water of his ablution and rub themselves with it أن النبي صلّى الله عليه وسلم توضأ من الماء الذي أتي به إليه فجعل الناس يأخذون من فضل وضوئه فيتمسحون به
, and it appears that this is by way of seeking blessing, they would rub themselves with the leftover water of his ablution, and this was in al-Abtah during the Farewell Pilgrimage.
He says:
I prayed Zuhr with the Prophet on a journey as two Rak'ah فصلى النبي صلّى الله عليه وسلم الظهر ركعتين والعصر ركعتين
Jami` at-Tirmidhi 551Da'if (Darussalam)
And he had set out during the heat of the day, and the heat of the day is the intense heat.
From this hadith, a benefit is derived, which is the permissibility of combining prayers for the traveler, even if he is stationary, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was stationary. This is supported by the fact that he combined prayers at Tabuk while he was stationary.
For this reason, the stronger position in this issue is that combining prayers while traveling for one who is stationary is permissible, but leaving it is better. It should not be done except for a need, if he does not find the journey easy. If the journey becomes difficult for him, then combining is better. Thus, combining prayers while traveling revolves between being better and being permissible. If the journey has become difficult for the person, it is better to combine, either by bringing the prayer forward or delaying it, according to what is easy for him.
And if he does not find the journey difficult, then leaving the combination is better, except for a need. Among the needs is that a person sees that he needs rest and a long sleep. And among the needs is that the water is scarce, so he likes to pray with one ablution, so he combines.
