The reciter: Muhammad ibn Bashshar narrated to us, saying: Ibn Abi 'Adi and Yahya ibn Sa'id narrated to us from Shu'bah from Ibrahim ibn Muhammad ibn al-Muntashir from his father, who said: I mentioned it to 'A'ishah, and she said:
May Allah have mercy on Abu 'Abd al-Rahman. I used to perfume the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he would go around his wives, then he would become in a state of ihram in the morning, sprinkling perfume. يرحم الله أبا عبد الرحمن كنت أطيب رسول الله صلّى الله عليه وسلم فيطوف على نسائه ثم يصبح محرما ينضح طيبا
