The reciter: Abu Ma'mar narrated to us, saying: Abd al-Warith narrated to us, saying: Yunus narrated to us from Humayd ibn Hilaal from Abu Salih that Abu Sa'id said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: H. And Adam ibn Abi Iyas narrated to us, saying: Sulayman ibn al-Mughirah narrated to us, saying: Humayd ibn Hilaal al-'Adawi narrated to us, saying: Abu Salih al-Saman narrated to us, saying:
I saw Abu Sa'id al-Khudri on a Friday day praying facing something that screened him from the people. A young man from the Banu Abi Ma'it wanted to pass in front of him, so Abu Sa'id pushed him in the chest. The young man looked and found no way to pass except in front of him, so he turned back to pass, and Abu Sa'id pushed him harder than the first time. The young man then took offense at Abu Sa'id, then he went in to Marwan and complained to him about what he had experienced from Abu Sa'id. Abu Sa'id went in to Marwan after him, and Marwan said: What is the matter between you and your nephew, O Abu Sa'id? He said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: If one of you prays facing something that screens him from the people, and someone wants to pass in front of him, let him push him back. If he refuses, let him fight him, for he is a devil.
