(Explanation of the Twentieth Type of Evidence for the Exaltation of Allah, Which Is Mentioning the Texts Regarding the Exaltation of Allah) This is the conclusion of these twenty aspects*** and it is the closest to the minds in listing

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In this passage, the author (may Allah have mercy on him) says, or in this chapter, the conclusion of the twenty is to mention the texts. The conclusion of the twenty is to mention the texts indicating the Exaltation of Allah. They are of various types, not just one type. But the author excused himself from conveying them in their exact wording because the poetry prevents him, and he cannot bring the noble verses according to the meter of the poetry. As al-Hariri (may Allah have mercy on him) said regarding the poetry:
"And it is permissible in the craft of pure poetry, the pure verse, for the poet to alter what is not altered"
So poetry is altering what a person can control. He says (may Allah have mercy on him), "I am not able to convey the texts in their exact wording because the meter prevents me from doing so. But I point to some of their locations. I point to some of their locations."
"*** And where is the ocean compared to its bays" Correct. Which is greater?
The student: The sea.

The Shaykh : The ocean is greater than the bay, without doubt.
