This is the twelfth of them, describing His apparent***ness as it has come in the Qur'an (Explanation of the twelfth type of the types of evidence for the exaltation of Allah, which is derived from the name of Allah al-Zahir and its interpretation as the Most High, and the refutation of the people of falsehood in that)

The Shaykh : This is, in the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, the Bestower of Mercy. The author (may Allah have mercy on him) intended by this chapter to clarify the eleventh evidence for the exaltation of Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He), and that is by the evidence of action from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), where he addressed the people on the Day of 'Arafah during the Farewell Pilgrimage, in that gathering in which no greater assembly has been found in Islam, and he said:
Did I convey it? He said, "O Allah, bear witness," pointing to the sky and gesturing with his finger to the people, meaning above them. He said that three times, (peace and blessings be upon him). هل بلغت قال اللهم اشهد يشير إلى السماء وينكت بأصبعه إلى الناس يعني عليهم قال ذلك ثلاثا عليه الصلاة والسلام
This is evidence by action, and the other by speech.
The student: By action.

The Shaykh : Evidence by action that Allah (Glorified and Exalted is He) is above everything, that Allah is in the exaltation, yes.
