The meaning of the poet's statement: "This, and the root of Islam's affliction is*** the interpretation of one who distorts and invalidates, and it is he who divided the seventy, rather*** increased by three, the statement of the one with the proof"

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : In Islam, and what has occurred in it of contradictions, sins, religious innovations, killing, plundering, and looting, all of it is due to interpretation. This is regarding those who claim affiliation with Islam. As for those who do not claim affiliation, the root of Islam's affliction from them is that they are enemies of Islam. But for the one who claims affiliation with Islam, the affliction did not come to Islam except because of interpretation. The author said: "of one who distorts and invalidates". As for the interpretation of one who is not a distorter, as will come if Allah wills, there is no affliction in Islam from it.
"And it is he who divided the seventy, rather*** increased by three, the statement of the one with the proof"
He means that he divided the Ummah into seventy-three sects, even though it is obligatory that this Muslim Ummah be one sect. But the interpretation, which is the interpretation of the people of distortion, divided the Ummah into seventy-three sects.
