Continuation of the discussion on the virtue of the Companions and the condemnation of those who insult them

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : This is a defect in the Shari'ah, for the means by which the Shari'ah was transmitted to us are the Companions. If they were wicked, open sinners, or disbelievers, how can we then trust the Shari'ah? We would have no trust in it. It is also a defect in the Companions, who are the best of generations by the testimony of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) for them. Glory be to Allah the Great, may Allah blind their insights! How do the clear Qur'anic verses pass by them, stating that the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) are the best of the nation?
Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating [in prayer], seeking bounty from Allah and [His] pleasure محمد رسول الله والذين معه أشداء على الكفار رحماء بينهم تراهم ركعا سجداً يبتغون فضلا من الله ورضوانا
[Al-Fath 48:29]
And the first forerunners [in the faith] among the Muhajireen and the Ansar and those who followed them with good conduct - Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Him والسابقون الأولون من المهاجرين والأنصار والذين اتبعوهم بإحسان رضي الله عنهم ورضوا عنه
[At-Tawbah 9:100]
Certainly was Allah pleased with the believers when they pledged allegiance to you, [O Muhammad], under the tree لقد رضي الله عن المؤمنين إذ يبايعونك تحت الشجرة
[Al-Fath 48:18]
Not equal among you are those who spent before the conquest [of Makkah] and fought [and those who did so after it]. Those are greater in degree than they who spent afterwards and fought. But to all Allah has promised the best [reward] لا يستوي منكم من أنفق من قبل الفتح وقاتل أولئك أعظم درجة من الذين أنفقوا من بعد وقاتلوا وكلاً وعد الله الحسنى
[Al-Hadid 57:10]
There are many verses on this matter, and many hadiths. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Mount Uhud when it shook, with Abu Bakr, 'Umar, and 'Uthman with him:
Be firm, O Uhud, or be still, for upon you is a Prophet, a truthful one, and two martyrs. اثبت أُحد أو اسكن فإنما عليك نبي وصديق وشهيدان
Sunan ad-Daraqutni 25:34
But we ask Allah for well-being. Desire blinds and deafens.
