(Explanation that knowledge requires two things: an open door for its entry and a closed door to keep it from flying away) These are beautiful brides brought to you*** and for the one who denies the attributes

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"These are beautiful brides brought to you*** and for the one who denies the attributes, they are not beautiful"
There is no doubt that what is beautiful to the people of affirmation is not beautiful to the people of denial of the divine attributes.
"And knowledge enters the heart of every successful person*** without a doorman or permission"
True, may Allah have mercy on him. The successful one has knowledge enter his heart without a doorman or permission. Why? Because the heart is the one that seeks knowledge, so as soon as knowledge is presented to it, it accepts it. It does not need a doorman or permission. And listen to the saying of Allah the Exalted:
And among them, [O Muhammad], are those who listen to you, until when they depart from you, they say to those who were given knowledge, "What has he said just now?" Those are the ones of whom Allah has sealed over their hearts and who have followed their [own] desires. ومنهم من يستمع إليك حتى إذا خرجوا من عندك قالوا للذين أوتوا العلم ماذا قال آنفا أولئك الذين طبع الله على قلوبهم واتبعوا أهوائهم
[Muhammad 47:16]
They attend the gathering of the Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him), who teaches them, but they do not comprehend or understand. When they leave, they say, "What did he say just now?" It is possible that they say this by way of belittlement, meaning that we do not care about it, and what did he say? It is also possible that they say it by way of inquiring, but the knowledge did not reach their hearts because they are not worthy of knowledge. Allah the Exalted said:
Those are the ones of whom Allah has sealed over their hearts and who have followed their [own] desires. أولئك الذين طبع الله على قلوبهم واتبعوا أهوائهم
[Muhammad 47:16]
We seek refuge in Allah. Now, these people as well, Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, says: that
"And knowledge enters the heart of every successful person*** without a doorman or permission"
Huh?
The student: Without doors.

The Shaykh : I have "without a doorman." "Doorman" is better. Without a doorman. And doors are generally only made to prevent entry.
Now, we may actually have a problem with the entry of knowledge; that is one thing. There is another problem: if knowledge enters through an open door, it exits through that same open door. The door does not close on it so that it is preserved. And so you find that we read a lot and memorize, but then? It flies away. It finds the door, the window, and even the roof; there is no roof, it goes out from every side. And even if it enters, it leaves. So the matter in reality is that knowledge requires two things: an open door for its acceptance, and a closed door to prevent its exit. We ask Allah to make us successful in this.
Yes, he says:
"*** without a doorman or permission
And the one who is deprived receives from his abandonment *** Do not break us, O Allah, by deprivation.

Amen. The deprived one, we ask Allah for safety, rejects knowledge because he is abandoned.
