And he is the One who wills, possessing will in this manner *** Always desiring the acts of benevolence (Clarifying that al-Murid is a predicate and not a name, and mentioning the absolute categories of names, which are three)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh :"And he is the One who wills, possessing will in this manner *** Always desiring the acts of benevolence"
Yes, al-Murid is not among His names, but it is from what is reported about Allah. It is said: Allah is al-Murid, but He is not named by it.
Know that the names are of three categories: a category that carries only a good meaning, and this is from His names; a category that carries only an ugly meaning, and this is not from His names nor is it reported about Him; and a category that is divided, carrying this and that, or carrying neither this nor that. This is reported about Him but He is not named by it. Al-Murid, al-Mutakallim, al-Sani', and the like of these are reported about Allah but He is not named by them. Something is reported about Allah but He is not named by it. The Essence is reported about Allah but He is not named by it. Now, here it says:
"And he is the One who wills, possessing will in this manner *** Always desiring the acts of benevolence"
Al-Iradah is an attribute, and yurid is a ruling. Yes.
