Allah the Greatest, the One above whom there is nothing *** and the affair of Allah is the greatest of affairs (The meaning of the name of Allah, al-Zahir)
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : The author (may Allah have mercy on him) says:
"Allah the Greatest, the One above whom there is nothing *** and the affair of Allah is the greatest of affairs"
This is taken from the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):Sunan Ibn Majah 3831Sahih (Darussalam) meaning the Most High.
"And Allah the Greatest, His Throne encompasses the heavens *** and the earth and the Footstool with its pillars"
So He is greater than the heavens, the earth, and the Footstool.
"And likewise the Footstool has encompassed the seven *** heavens and the earths by proof"
The proof is His saying, the Exalted:[Al-Baqarah 2:255]. So we have three things: the heavens and the earth, which the Footstool encompasses, and the Footstool, which the Throne encompasses. So the Throne is the greatest of the three, and none can measure its magnitude except Allah (Mighty and Majestic).
"And the Lord is above the Throne and the Footstool *** and the thoughts of man are not hidden from Him"
So how about His actions and words? If our thoughts are not hidden from our Lord, then how much more so are our words and actions, which are even more deserving of His knowledge.
"Allah the Greatest, the One above whom there is nothing *** and the affair of Allah is the greatest of affairs"
This is taken from the saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him):
You are the Most High, and there is nothing above You
أنت الظاهر فليس فوقك شيء"And Allah the Greatest, His Throne encompasses the heavens *** and the earth and the Footstool with its pillars"
So He is greater than the heavens, the earth, and the Footstool.
"And likewise the Footstool has encompassed the seven *** heavens and the earths by proof"
The proof is His saying, the Exalted:
His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth
وسع كرسيه السماوات والأرض"And the Lord is above the Throne and the Footstool *** and the thoughts of man are not hidden from Him"
So how about His actions and words? If our thoughts are not hidden from our Lord, then how much more so are our words and actions, which are even more deserving of His knowledge.
