The reader: "O you who court the beautiful houris and seek *** to be united with them in the Garden of the Living
If you only knew whom you court and whom you seek, *** you would offer up all the prices you possess
Or if you only knew where their dwelling is, *** you would hasten toward them with your eyelids
And I have described the path to their dwelling, so if *** you seek union, do not be the one who delays
Hurry and urge your journey with all your might, for *** this delight of yours is but a moment in time
So love them and tell your soul of union, and *** pay their bridal gift as long as you are able
And make your fasting before meeting them, and let *** the day of union be the day of breaking the fast in Ramadan
And make the descriptions of their beauty the guide and *** the secret that dispels fears, for she is a source of safety".

The reader: "Let not a dwelling that the hands of *** poets have played with in past times distract you
For every joy has departed from it, *** and it has been replaced by worry and grief
A prison that is narrow for the one of faith, *** but a sanctuary for the one of disbelief
Its inhabitants are people of ignorance, *** idleness, and foolishness, the filthiest of inhabitants
And the sweetest of them in life is the one who is ignorant *** of the truth"

The Shaykh : And by Allah, the one who is with us is better, the one who is more ignorant
