O you who seek to wed the beautiful houris and seek *** to be joined with them in the Garden of Life (The meaning of houris and life)

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : Then it said:
"O you who seek to wed the beautiful houris" and so on.
There is no doubt that this call from the author is a noble one; everyone desires it and wishes to attain it. However, there is something sweeter and more blissful than being joined with these houris, which is being joined with the pleasure of Allah and seeing Allah (Mighty and Majestic). Perhaps the author will mention this later, but he mentioned this, and Allah knows best, as a way of arousing interest and as an introduction. He says:
"O you who seek to wed the beautiful houris and seek ***"
Regarding the houris, they say: a woman is not considered a huri unless her face is white and her eyes are black; that is, black eyes in white cheeks. This is what is meant by houris.
"and seek *** to be joined with them in the Garden of Life"
That is: in the Garden of life, for "life" here means life, as Allah the Exalted said:
And indeed, the home of the Hereafter - that is the [eternal] life وإن الدار الآخرة لهي الحيوان
[Al-'Ankabut 29:64]
