Explanation of the Book of the Adhan-10b

Machine translationRead the Arabic original

The reciter: Isma'il narrated to us, saying: Malik narrated to me from Zayd ibn Aslam from Ata' ibn Yasar from Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), who said: The sun was eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), so he prayed. They said: O Messenger of Allah, we saw you reach for something in your place, and then we saw you trembling. He said:

I was shown Paradise and wanted to have a bunch of fruit from it. Had I taken it, you would have eaten from it as long as the world remains.

إني أريت الجنة فتناولت منها عنقودًا ولو أخذته لأكلتم منه ما بقيت الدنيا
