Explanation of the Book of Friday Prayer and the Two Festivals-01a
Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The reciter: Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, Shu'ayb narrated to us.
The Shaykh : I have a chapter here, we have a chapter, and al-Bukhari (may Allah have mercy on him) has previously made the chapter equivalent to a section. If he says: Chapter, and does not mention the title, it means section.
The questioner : Abu Nu'aym narrated to us, Shu'ayb narrated to us, from Yahya, from Abu Salama, from Abu Hurayrah:
That 'Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), while he was delivering the sermon on Friday, a man entered, and 'Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Why did you delay the prayer? The man said: It was only that when I heard the call, I performed ablution. He said: Have you not heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: When any of you goes out for the Friday prayer, let him perform the full ritual bath. The Shaykh: "When any of you goes out" means: when he goes, and it is not intended to mean when he goes in the late afternoon, which is the evening. In it is evidence that "raha" is used in the Arabic language to mean "went" as in the common language now, and Allah knows best.
