Explanation of how to deal with disbelievers if they are superiors in the workplace, regarding greeting them with peace or not

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : If you are afflicted with a disbeliever who has authority over you in terms of work, such as a disbeliever who is the head of a company and you are an employee there, and you enter his office, is it a problem? If you greet him with peace, you have disobeyed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). If you remain silent, it is a sin upon you, and then he may dismiss you, either by freezing your salary, transferring you to a remote location, or something similar. What do you do? This is a trial in reality, and questions about it are frequent.
We say: We do not greet them with peace, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
Do not greet them with peace لا تبدؤوهم بالسلام
You may say "Good morning," but to whom? You intend it for yourself; "Good morning" means for me, and he does not know what is in your heart. Is figurative interpretation for a need permissible or not permissible? It is permissible; figurative interpretation for a need is permissible, so you interpret it figuratively, or you say, for example, "Welcome" or something similar to words that are not considered a greeting of peace. Perhaps we will limit ourselves to this extent regarding the greeting of peace.
