From the benefits: Explaining the elevation of the Shari'ah and its wisdom, and that it is based on securing benefits and repelling harms.

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The Shaykh : It is derived from this noble verse the explanation of the elevation of the Shari'ah and that it is a Shari'ah built upon benefits and the repelling of harms. For when Allah prohibited praying over the hypocrites and standing over their graves, He provided the reason for this, saying:
Indeed, they disbelieved in Allah and His Messenger and died while they were defiantly disobedient. إنهم كفروا بالله ورسوله وماتوا وهم فاسقون
[At-Tawbah 9:84]
And so, O my brothers, and especially the students of knowledge, know that every ruling in the Shari'ah must have a wisdom. Every ruling must have a wisdom. But is it obligatory for us to know this wisdom? It is not obligatory. We may know it, or we may not know it. But we believe in Allah the Exalted that all of the rulings by which Allah, Glorified and Exalted is He, has ruled are for a profound wisdom, which those who know it know, and those who do not know it do not know. So if someone asks, for example, why is the midday prayer four units, the sunset prayer three units, and the dawn prayer two units? We say: Allah knows best. Allah knows best. If we know the wisdom, that is a favor from Allah. If we do not know it, it is upon us to submit. Did you understand? Good. I say this because if someone asks, why is the midday prayer not six units, or the sunset prayer five units, or the dawn prayer four units? We say: all of this is possible. But the fact that the midday prayer is four units, the sunset prayer three units, and the dawn prayer two units, to whom is this matter entrusted? To Allah. However, we know that the sunset prayer became three units because it is the odd-numbered prayer of the day. But if someone asks, the odd-numbered prayer is also seven units and five units, so why were three units specified? We say: Allah knows best. We may know this, or we may not know it. In any case, I advise you to know that everything Allah has commanded or prohibited is for a profound wisdom, but we may know it, or we may not know it.
Why didn't you teach us, my brothers? The time has passed. The limit is until six o'clock. This is the lesson, and after that, if Allah wills, we will set a time. That is enough. A quarter of an hour for questions. Yes, yes. One hour. One hour minus half an hour. There is no objection. Come on, there is no question. A paper.
