Is it considered an oath when they say, "May the status of Allah be upon you, so that you do not do such and such"?

Machine translationRead the Arabic original
The questioner : And the question here, may Allah reward you, the question says: A woman swore an oath upon her husband with this formula, which is: "May the status of Allah be upon you" ..

The Shaykh : What?

The questioner : May the status of Allah be upon you ..

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : So that you do not do such and such.

The Shaykh : Yes.

The questioner : Is this considered an oath? And what is the ruling if the husband disobeys her order?

The Shaykh : This is not permissible. This is seeking intercession with Allah to this husband, and it is not permissible. Because the one seeking intercession is lower in status than the one with whom intercession is sought. It is not permissible to make Allah the Exalted an intercessor to His creation, because He is too great to be an intercessor to the creation. So this oath is invalid, and nothing is entailed by it, except that the woman and whoever has become accustomed to this must repent to Allah and not return to it. Yes.
