Machine translationRead the Arabic original
Question:
You say: What is the ruling on seeking nearness to Allah through His Majesty ?
Answer:
Seeking nearness to Allah through His Majesty to Allah : I ask You by Your great Majesty, by Your great Knowledge, by Your Mercy, by Your Goodness, by Your Power, by Your Glory; all of this is good and there is no harm in it. His Majesty is His Greatness . So if one asks Allah by that, there is no harm. O Allah, I ask You by Your great Majesty, by Your great Knowledge, by Your Power, by Your Glory, to forgive me and to have mercy on me.
As for asking people by Allah, it is better to leave it. One should not ask people by Allah, nor by the Majesty of Allah. One should not say: I ask You by Allah, or by the Majesty of Allah, to do such and such. Leaving this is better and safer.
The presenter : May Allah reward you with good. Is the word "Ghalib" (the Prevailing) one of the attributes of Allah?
The Shaykh : It is one of His attributes . Yes.
